Willard Jensen

December 16, 1942 — January 19, 2013

Willard S. Jensen quietly passed away on the morning of Saturday, January 19, 2013.
He was born June 3, 1920, in Aetna, Alberta, Canada, the 6th child of Alma Nephi Jensen and Katie Viola Sherwood. He married Sara Isabelle Tanner on December 16, 1942.
During the Second World War, he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a radio specialist in England. He was an avid ham radio enthusiast. He had a great voice and worked as an announcer for KSL radio in the 1940’s.
He served as a missionary in the Mexico, Hermosillo mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a dedicated member of his church and had an unwavering testimony of the gospel.
He was a man of many talents and interests.
Bill was preceded in death by his son John, his daughter, Julie Crawford and a grandson, Michael Howery. He is survived by his wife, Isabelle; his daughter, Sally (Mike) Howery; his sons Jim and Bob; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, at 11 AM at the Murray 23rd Ward Chapel, 755 East Three Fountains Drive, with a viewing one hour prior to services.
