William (Bill) Henry Cleland 81, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family, September 9, 2022.

Born April 10, 1941 to Alfred John and Margaret Fryer Cleland in Salt Lake City, Utah. City boy meets country girl JoAnn Christensen on a blind date it was a love at first sight love story. They were married on July 24, 1959, in Elko Nevada and spent 63 wonderful years together. They are the parents of three sons Richard, Robert and David.

He attended the Salt Lake Schools graduating from West High went on to Salt Lake Trade School and trained to be a offset pressman.

He worked or Mendenhall Auto Parts, Rocky Mountain Bank Note, He was a successful business owner of BCT (Business Cards Tomorrow) until he retired in 2006.

He was always the jokester in the room. He was a very smart, strong and independent man that taught his kids and grandkids lifelong lessons that will never be forgotten. He will be missed tremendously.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing and traveling. His passion was rebuilding Hot Rods and Classic Cars which he enjoyed showing at car shows especially Hot August Nights in Reno. He was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and all of their accomplishments.

He is survived by his wife JoAnn, sons Richard (Lynda), Robert of Salt Lake City and David of Post Fall Idaho. Six grandchildren Jake (Georgianna), Jessica, Kassidy (Zach), Ryan, Megan, Ashley (Scott) and Amy (Vince). Step Granddaughters Stephanie and Callie. Great Granddaughters Dallas, Liliana, Aubrey and Jordan. Step Great Grandchildren Kasen, Kaiya, Allyce and Theory. Brother Mike (Vicky) Standiford, Sister-In-Law Earlene Christensen, Brother-In-Law Jim Crane and Garry Orr, many Nieces and Nephews. Proceeded in death by his parents, sister Doris White brother John Cleland and Daughter-In-Law Danette Cleland.
