William Lee Paul

To many, he was called William or Bill, Mister or Sir, but to a gentle few he was called Dad and Papa.  Dad passed away due to heart complications on Monday, May 30, 2016.  Dad was born in Inglewood, California June 14, 1944 to Don and Ione Paul.  He married his eternal sweetheart, René Susan Petersen, on June 25, 1966.  Dad is survived by his 4 children (Elisa, Heather, Jason, and Christopher) and 5 grandchildren (McKinzie, Joshua, Sara, Gideon, and Mari) and his brother, D.R. Paul.  Dad was preceded in death by his wife, René; sister, Penny Broschart; and his parents.

As a retiree of Delta Airlines, Dad was an avid traveler and a great enthusiast of multimedia.  He was a big man with a kindly heart and a kindred soul to a well-kept faith.  His legacy is not defined by the numbers but by his unwavering and irrevocable support of those he called his own.  Dad will be dearly and sorely missed but we are still beholden to his light.  From this breath to our last, in this world and next, with pride and celebration we remember.

Friends and family are invited to visit Sunday evening, June 5, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. A graveside service will be held Monday morning at 10:00am at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive.
