William Peffer

William "Bill" Eugene Peffer 1934 ~ 2011

Bill Peffer, 76, passed away at home on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Bill is survived by his wife, Lina, three sons of his first marriage, Robert, Scott, and Michael, and thirteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Billy and his sister Barbara. Bill was an independent, hard-working man who joined the Air Force early in life. Following his military service, he applied his strong free will and his interest in mechanics to open his own service station and auto parts businesses. He later volunteered his enthusiasm to the South Davis Soccer Association and was eventually elected as its president during a tremendous growth period. He enjoyed camping, hunting, boating and taking road trips with his family. During recent years, he and Lina owned a restaurant and a dart shop. He spent his free time gardening, tinkering in his garage, and taking on handyman projects. He had a passion for making things better. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11:00 am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. Friends and family may visit on Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to services.
