Willis Hart Howard

September 9, 1924 — May 14, 2011

Willis Hart Howard, 86, passed away peacefully on 14 May surrounded by family and loved ones.

He is survived by three children: Jan, Ted and Stott, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was a World War II veteran and served his country honorably in both the Special Forces and Navy.

Willis was a gifted mechanic, metal artist, devoted Jazz fan and fierce patriot. He was well known for his generosity, excellent sense of humor and colorful sayings.

We will miss him greatly and think of him whenever we hear that Big Band sound, see a pair of cowboy boots or sleep in after 0500 hours.

We would like to thank Canyon Creek Assisted Living and Hospice for Utah for creating a very comfortable and supportive environment during the past six months... we are certain they will remember Willie for a very long time!

Willis will be interred in Huntington, Utah. A graveside service will be held at the Huntington Cemetery, 575 North 400 West, Huntington, Utah 19 May 2011 commencing at 2:00 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice for Utah.
