November 18, 1937 — February 18, 2011

Willis Carl Johnson, age 73, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2011, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Born November 18, 1937, the only son of Lela V. and Willis Rigdon Johnson.

He attended South High School and the University of Utah. He served an LDS Mission to the Western Canadian Mission.

He married Ruth Whyte in the Salt Lake Temple on June 16, 1960. She preceded him in death in August 1997. Married Dorothy Love on November 28, 1998, and together they served a mission in Baltimore, Maryland. A faithful member of the LDS Church, he served in many bishopric callings and other leadership capacities.

His grandchildren were the light of his life and they will miss him immensely. His passing leaves a great void.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy and children, Laurie (Kent) Viehweg, Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Bryan (Marisa) Johnson, Vancouver, Washington, and Natalie Kelly, Las Vegas, Nevada.
