Winford “Winn” LaGrand Allan, 89, of Draper, Utah, passed away on June 21, 2026. He was born on December 24, 1936, in Springville, Utah, to Kenneth and Grace Llewelyn Allan.
Winn worked for Smith’s Food and Drug for 40 years, traveling throughout the western states to set up the nonfoods departments of new and newly remodeled stores. He made many friends and associates during those four decades. You could often see him walking around with a feather duster and a box cutter hanging out of his back pocket.
An avid sportsman and traveler, Winn loved playing golf (he was very proud of the hole-in-one he had). In his younger years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles with his sons and hunting. Golf was his all-time favorite sport, though all sports were usually found playing on his television. He also had strong opinions when it came to politics, and he let you know whether you wanted to hear them or not. Winn loved to travel – destinations included Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Alaska, and many parts of the western U.S. and southern and central Utah. Anywhere his four wheels took him, he was always up for a road trip.
Winn met Madonna Moosman 25 years ago, and he welcomed her and her four children into his family circle.
Winn is survived by his wife, Madonna Moosman; her children Bryan (Eva) Moosman, Paul (Jenn) Moosman, Dan Moosman, and Shanna (J.J.) Adams; his first wife, Geri Johnson, with whom he shared four children, Kevin (Jennifer) Allan, Korey Allan, Michael (Tiffiny) Allan, and Stacie Rominger; stepchildren Terry (Kjersti) Bryson, Tracy (Dave) Bringhurst, and Tiffiny (Michael) Allan; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Reese and Bud; and his second wife, Judy Allan.
