Wolfgang Franz Peleschka

June 3, 1949 — April 5, 2023

Wolfgang passed peacefully of natural causes on April 5, 2023. He was born June 3, 1949, in Haag am Hausruck, Austria to Roland Edwin and Anna Marie Fleischhacker Peleschka. At about 5 years of age he emigrated to the United States with his parents and older brother Horst, settling in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Wolfgang graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1967. One of his first jobs was helping his father pick up supplies, build, deliver and install custom made cabinets. He worked a short time for Mother’s Cookies, and then found his true calling when he went to work for Intermountain Health Care in Materials Management. He worked his way up and was the Director of Materials Management when he retired. His last big project was supplying the new IMC. Part of his success was due to his ability to make sure everyone knew how much he valued them no matter their position.
Wolfgang had a great sense of humor but could be very intimidating upon first meetings. Once you were given permission to call him Wolf you knew he was a friend. His generous nature, fun stories and welcoming hands will be deeply missed.
Dad had a great passion for fast cars and dogs. Over the years he had several fast cars, his favorite being his Saab – we never asked how he got from his meeting in St George to a band concert in time. He had a tender heart for rescue dogs especially greyhounds which he named after fast cars. His Spaniels and Corgi with their short legs and curly hair even had their own stairs to get up on the bed. They were all family after all.
Wolfgang and wife Judy Ann (Clark) were married for 15 years and have 2 daughters, Cyndie (Curtis) Kirk and Stacie Peleschka. They later divorced and Wolfgang continued his life with Trissa Peleschka until her death in May 2022. While married to Trissa he supported and cared for her and her 4 children – Jim, Jake, Rachel and Katie.
Wolfgang is preceded in death by his parents, wife Trissa and grandson Joshua. He leaves behind his Brother Horst (Pat) Peleschka, Edwin Peleschka and Judy. His amazing legacy continues with his 2 daughters Cyndie and Stacie, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A special Thank You! to his amazing neighbors that helped with his yard, snow removal, garbage cans and generally just checking in to see if he needed anything.
