Zella Jean Mccomas Munk

Zella Jean McComas Munk, age 85, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2014 in Draper, Utah. She was born to Howard McComas and Hannah Jones McComas on January 26, 1929 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

She married Max Munk in Manti, Utah on May 3, 1952, solemnized later in the Salt Lake Temple. Her family moved to Utah in her early teens. She graduated from Granite High School in 1947. After high school she worked in retail for several years, where she met the love of her life, while working at the Five and Dime. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, sewing, crafts, cooking, baking, camping and fishing trips. She centered her life around her family and will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor and telling it like it is.

She leaves behind her daughter Cheryl Frost (Ed); sons Christian (Eric), Matthew (Holly); grandchildren Robert (Mindi), Daniel, Crystal (Jeramy), Alaina, Whitney and Courtney; seven great-grandsons Colton, Cameron, Brayden, Christian, Elijah and Quinton; sister-in-laws Edith McComas and Margaret McComas; numerous nieces and nephews, including nieces Bev, Patty and Bonnie Kay; nephew Donnie; and life-long friends (Group) the Winn's, Memmott's, Grow's, Newton's, Hill's, Coope's, Hansen's and Cash's. Preceded in death by her eternal sweetheart, Max; parents; step-mother; brothers Cecil, David "Bud" and Richard; sisters Leona and Catherine "Sis"; step-brother George and step-sister Peggy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Butler 10th Ward, 6634 South Greenfield Way. Friends and family may visit Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the LDS church Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
